Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026 · Applies to the CapXHQ platform at capxhq.com
This policy explains what cookies CapXHQ sets, why they are used, and how you can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They can be used for many things — remembering that you're signed in, protecting form submissions against forgery, or tracking behaviour across sites for advertising. CapXHQ only uses them for the first two of those purposes.
Cookies CapXHQ uses
Both cookies below are strictly necessary — the service cannot function without them.
Session / authentication cookie
Set once you sign in. Remembers your session so you don't have to re-enter your password on every page. Cleared when you sign out or when the session expires. Managed by our authentication provider (Supabase).
CSRF protection cookie
Used to protect form submissions and other state-changing requests against cross-site request forgery attacks. Set for the duration of your session only.
Cookies CapXHQ does not use
CapXHQ does not set advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not build behavioural profiles of visitors, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks.
Why there is no consent banner
Under GDPR and the EU ePrivacy Directive, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user do not require prior consent. Signing in to your account is such a service — the authentication and CSRF cookies are what make signing in work. Because these are the only cookies CapXHQ sets, a consent banner is not required.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Because the cookies CapXHQ uses are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or using the platform.
Instructions vary by browser, but you can usually find cookie controls under Settings → Privacy or Settings → Security in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
